about

Before there was Richard Album of Chicago, there was Little Ricky Turningman of Olympia, Washington. A boy with big dreams, he fronted a series of toy-rock bands that left his small town shocked and bewildered. Sunday Keds and Bill Murray Bear, two of his performing acts, received so many noise complaints that Little Ricky was virtually outcast in his own neighborhood. Then Chicago called. Ricky left Olympia, rechristened himself Richard Album, and got to work on new material. These songs became his strong debut, "You Can Call Me Album." He toured tirelessly with The Lifestyles, sharpening his musical attack and exorcising the pain his past failures had caused him.

"Sophomore Album" finds Richard and The Lifestyles matured and more confident than ever before. These songs vibrate with the energy of classic rock and roll. Lifestyle "23" snaps out backbeats, syncopations, and deep tom grooves to keep your shoe laces coming untied. Lifestyle Lexi ties it all together with entrancing, crisp basslines and takes a heartbreaking turn on lead vocal duties. Meanwhile, Lifestyle Jacob plays the guitars, sometimes crunchy, sometimes funky, sometimes both, that will tear your speakers a new "a" hole. Of course, Richard sings. Heartfelt, nervous, and witty, his performance tells the story of his life in the venerable old idiom of song. This is the music Little Ricky Turningman from Olympia had
always dreamed of playing, and this is only his "Sophomore Album!"
